AMI is a Portuguese Non Governmental Organization, private, non-profitable and independent. AMI has the objective to struggle against poverty, social exclusion, underdevelopment, hunger and the war consequences in any part of the world.

Location: Guinea-Bissau

Position details:

Position: Full-time position;

Duration: 3 months (minimum);

Start: Immediate

Base: Bolama Region, Bijagós Archipelago

Interviews will be done in AMI Headquarters, Lisbon, Portugal.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Perform direct primary healthcare: diagnostics and treatments as required;
• Monitor and supervise healthcare delivery by local health workers;
• Train local health workers;
• Ensure accurate record management for reporting and case management;
• Assist with medical supply management (inventories, warehousing).
• Assist with epidemiological and outbreak surveillance;
• Elaborate monthly reports.

Person Specification:

Essential:

• Degree in Medicine
• Fluent in Portuguese (written and oral)

Desirable:

• Experience in group facilitation techniques;
• Previous experience in a developing country
