Deputy Principal Fire Officer-One (1) Post (Department of Electrical and Mechanical Building Services)
V/No.338/2009
Salary Scale: KSh.40,835 - KSh.49,636 p.m.(Job Group ‘N’)
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
(i) served in the grade of Chief Fire Officer Job Group ‘M’ for a minimum period of
three (3) years;
(ii) possess wide technical knowledge and experience on all aspects of fire fighting, fire prevention and protection; and
(iii) shown initiative and ability to plan, direct and control fire fighting and fire
prevention activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Deputy Principal Fire Officer will be responsible to the Principal Fire Officer for
administrative, technical and operational control of all fire fighting, fire prevention
and protection services.
Specifically, duties will include:
* maintenance of equipment and appliances;
* equipment accounting;
* divisional Training;
* orders, instruction and inspections;
* issuance of fire prevention and protection technical guides to building design units; and
* co-ordination of all fire fighting, prevention and detection services.
