Job description
Our current expansion is opening up opportunities for VIE positions in Geophysics departments in various Exploration subsidiaries.
The successful candidates will report directly to the chief geophysicist at one of our subsidiaries, and support our geophysicist engineers in a variety of areas spanning:
- Seismic data acquisition (supervision support, daily follow-up, field computing, etc.)
- Time or depth seismic data processing (processing sequences or tests follow-up, velocities analyses, velocity model build up, etc.)
- Well data integration: seismic ties, logs calibration, time-to-depth conversion
- Seismic interpretation: depth conversion, speed-model construction
- 2D or 3D interpretation on workstations (SISMAGE)
- Reservoir seismic characterisation (seismic attributes generation, litho-seismic interpretation, sediment-grid population)
- 4D interpretation or 4D acquisition feasibility
VIE positions are available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. More information regarding the VIE programme (including salary rates) can be found on www.civiweb.com.
Required skills
Education
- A Masters or equivalent 5-year degree from a broad-based or specialised engineering school or university
- Geophysics specialisation would be a substantial advantage
- Fluent English is mandatory
- Solid IT literacy
