Job description
TOTAL is recruting for its Exploration and Production division a Senior Drilling Engineer.
Context:
.Deep water. Extended reach horizontal wells
.High level of technical risks due to the operational costs
.High level of performance objectives on projects
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
- maintening HSE procedures and policies
- achieving all development and delineation goals
- fulfilling drilling performance , well productivity and cost efficiency
- Managing and training subordinate junior engineers and making sure that they are efficiently integrated
- Sharing drilling know-how
Your main activities include:
-Manage, lead ,coordinate drilling operations and engineering activities for deepwater activities
-Ensure the coordination within Geology, Geophysics and Reservoir
-Ensure the application of the Company Rules within the programs
-Ensure the proper realisation of operations as per the approved well programs. Identify whether changes are required
-Ensure the HSE rig incentives are in place and managed in a timely manner
-Ensure proper implementation of Performance rig incentive
-Ensure the updating of the SIMOPS procedures in order to enhance overall rig performance. Special attention to be focused on dual derrick units Ensure new technical solutions to optimise the drilling operation performances
-Ensure the application of the Drilling Improvement Process
-Ensure the technical analysis of the drilling operation and produce end of well reports in a timely manner
-Ensure the implementation of adequate databases for the follow up of performance and operation analysis
-Ensure technical specifications and scope of work for drilling rig services
-Initiate Call For Tender and evaluate technical and commercial proposals as per company standards.
-Ensure well workflow, well summary, well budget, KPI are issued in a timely manner.
-Ensure well budget objective is fulfil and, well cost control is implemented with his department

Required skills
Education
-Graduated drilling engineer with international field experience
Experience
-minimum 10 years in the petroleum industry
-Knowledge of deep water drilling environment.
-Holding valid IWCF well control certificate and Bosiet training.
