Permanent skilled level position in the Financial sector at Absa in Springbok in South Africa (Northern Cape).


PURPOSE OF THE JOB



To grow the Bank customer base through acquisition and increased customer profitability of the identified portfolio. Gain new customers and increase portfolios of current customers through proactive attraction, cross-selling and retention



RESPONSIBILITIES



Deliver exceptional sales performance

Generate business by doing presentations outside offices at group schemes, business units and other companies identified

Participate in specific product campaigns

Extend customer relationships to relevant parties to address customer needs

Achieve, meet and exceed contracted sales targets according to sub-segment objectives

Utilize sales tools to help with achievement of contracted sales targets

Maintain own sales performance statistics for management information usage

Act as a single point of reference to appropriately channel the customer

Be accountable for end to end sales fulfilment  

Complete account opening documentation together with customers

Complete the financial analysis and statement review on customer accounts

Give regular feedback on progress to clients

Identify sales gaps, implement and execute corrective action plans and identify external sales opportunities

Build network relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Ensure effective implementation and support to national and localised sales campaigns

Helps to create an awareness of specials under customers for more sales

Advice clients on Investment options

Ensure the understanding of economical challenges and changes must be aware and understand prime rate

Share knowledge and experience with other Sales Consultants in the team

Coach and mentor Buddy Teams with regards to quality leads and product knowledge

Agree performance objectives with the Team Leader Sales or Branch Manager, including specific sales targets

Sign off and adhere to the applicable Sales and Service Standards

Adhere to Sales Audit requirements and to legislative requirements

Ensure fraud is detected

Ensure accuracy of each new account application and be accountable for accuracy and quality of these and supporting documents that they complete and submit

Achieve operational rigour excellence in aspects of procedures and processes personally undertaken

Ensure customer satisfaction

Own customer queries and complaints around account opening, loans and card applications and resolve in a timely manner

Log complaints and complements on Customer Care Process (CCP) system

Direct customers to the appropriate delivery channel to meet their needs

Educate customers with regards to correct account usage

Advise customers as soon as cheque books, cards and other account items are ready for collection

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification of higher

NQF level 4 FAIS qualification with 30 credits

FAIS experience with on NQF level 5 with 60 credits

Two (2) years sales experience

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet

No criminal record



PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS



Relevant National Diploma or equivalent NQF level 5 qualification higher

Three (3) years Retail Banking or financial services experience

Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status
