An exciting opportunity to see the world as part of Total’s Exploration and Production (E&P) team has arisen for a Head of Maintenance (Mechanical) with strong experience and expertise in the required discipline. Our E&P team is active in 42 countries across the globe and current opportunities offer attractive, long-term contracts in various international locations on a family or rotational basis.

As Head of Maintenance (Mechanical) you will be responsible for varied, interesting and challenging activities that provide excellent opportunities for autonomy, personal development and professional growth.
Managing a team of between 5 and 10 people, you will be drawing on your significant experience in the field of maintenance to oversee operations, prepare maintenance policies, provide technical advice and conduct reliability studies and quality audits.
You will play a key role in complex negotiation with manufacturers over proposed maintenance programmes, setting up and managing specific maintenance contracts.
You will also deputize for the Head of Maintenance, ensuring all transverse aspects and relations with other departments are taken care of.
Finally, you will have opportunity to draw on your extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and processes in order to manage risk, prepare HSE key performance indicators, ensure appropriate levels of training and oversee the safety aspects of key activity stages.


Required skills

Education
Will be a Chartered Engineer, or equivalent.
Will have an MSc, or equivalent, qualification in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with a specialisation in maintenance.
Will have a high level of awareness of Health and Safety issues and be able to encourage good practice in others.
Will be fluent in both spoken and written English.

Experience
Will have significant experience in the Mining industry, equipment maintenance and offshore installations.
Will have some people management experience and the ability to motivate, inspire and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
Skills
Will be adept at working collaborating and proactively sharing information and expertise with your colleagues.
Will be able to operate flexibly and sensitively in multi-cultural teams and local environments.
Will be able and keen to travel the World and work in a variety of countries.
Will be eager to develop your career in one of the biggest and most progressive Oil & Gas companies in the World.
