HELIOS is a business change programme that aims to improve Oxfam's supply chain processes and procedures. If you are a highly motivated individual able to champion new business processes, we have an exciting opportunity for you in the Horn East and Central Africa (HECA) regional centre. This region comprises Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Somaliland, DRC, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
Since August 2010 HELIOS has already been successfully introduced in Kenya, Somalia, Uganda and the Regional Centre in Nairobi. The other countries (Tanzania, Rwanda, DRC, Ethiopia and South-Sudan) are planned to follow in the coming years. The Regional HELIOS Focal Point (RHFP) will support all business functions (Programme, Finance, and Logistics) involved in programme delivery in the region in the use of HELIOS process and system. This includes user support, training, capacity building and communications with the central team in Oxford in the UK, to ensure issues and queries raised by the users in the region are resolved promptly. A specific purpose of this role is the benefits realisation of HELIOS, in particular to add value to risk management and risk reduction in the supply chain.
You will have solid understanding of the principles of effective supply chain management from previous experience in a Supply and Logistics role (either within the private or humanitarian sector) and have clear written and verbal English communications skills for writing documentation and delivering training events . French language skills would also be desirable. You will be very detail oriented - required for set up and maintenance of master data within the HELIOS system and you will have an aptitude for quickly developing expertise and knowledge of a software package to a high technical level. Previous experience working with and knowledge of HELIOS system would be an advantage.
In order to effectively champion the systems and processes amongst user groups and in making reports to the central team and management, you will have effective interpersonal skills, including training and presentation skills, facilitation and coaching skills, and sensitivity and assertiveness skills.
This is a challenging opportunity for a dedicated and highly motivated professional who is an experienced team worker with the ability to collaborate, motivate and
influence others and who has a strong commitment to Oxfam's values and beliefs. If you believe you are the candidate we are looking for, please submit your application and CV in English detailing your experience for the post and include daytime telephone contacts using the Ref. No. INT. 4819.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
